I drew the 7 of Swords while considering the conditions surrounding your relationships. You’re not headed in the right direction at the moment, in fact, you know you’re not, you know you can’t see the path in front of you and yet you continue to take unnecessary steps in the wrong direction! Take the blinders off and go the opposite direction! Should you continue you’re only going to have a false sense of accomplishment.
Without more information, that’s not as specific as it probably should be. I hope that it’s clear to you. You know when you envision slapping someone and suddenly they see everything clearly…happens on a sitcoms regularly. That’s how I feel right now. I want you to see this as clearly as others do.

I think it’s a great idea. Make sure when you’ve got your planning done to start working on it right away. You can get stuck in the planning and then put it aside and things will never happen. Remember you don’t have to always defend your ideas to others. Their questions and concerns are all valid. Let others be a sounding board for things you’ve already thought of and those you never did. If you can open up a bit more and let others help you in their way, then you’ll find you’ll be more successful.

Q:hey there again ^^ thank you for the last reading :) I have a special question :D I have always been into tarot and astrology but my family is against that because we are catholic and kind of like we hardly ever speak of it... but I feel I am missing something like I am not complete and I have told my mother I want to learn tarot and if I could buy a deck and she went crazy about it... what's your opinion on tarot and catholics?:should I go on and and try? I really want to learn but I am scared!
My mother is Catholic and has learned to ask about my interest. Her family is the kind of Catholics that renounce family members when they get divorced…tough lot. Though they’ve softened over the years.
I think that an understanding and acceptance of many different religions are an experience of the Tarot. Without religious context how would we understand a lot of the symbolism in the Tarot. There are angels, resurrections, rebirths, churches and saints in the Rider Waite deck. The Haindl deck, that I love, has Egyptian, Indian, Native American and Nose religious figures. Once could even say they are all myth that people have found faith in. Still - without some sort of spirituality working with Tarot would be extremely difficult.
There are other blogs on here where people are merging their spirituality. For example, a blend of Paganism and Christianity. It’s not so far off, there’s a lot of argument that Christianity is already an amalgamation of Paganism and other religions.
In the end, isn’t it all spirit? Some people have trouble making room in their universe for another concept or a new awakening. If you’re living at home, you may want to find a way to wait until you’re on your own to learn more if you think that it would be harmful to your mother and your person. If you want to move forward, you can only be bound by the rules that keep you safe from harm.

More Devil Thoughts
The formation of the RW imagery indicates the overtake of emotion in the triad seen between the chained lovers and the devil above. We see these as our id, ego and super-conscience. The large devil being the super-conscience. (this triad appears all over the RW deck) the devil is so large and imposing, the super-conscious out of control, we’re not in control of ourselves. We answer to our base desires and not the rules of society (moral or virtuous).
Also known as temptation.
Been thinking about this off and on since last night….
Q:What is your interpretation of the Devil card? It always seems to pop up in my readings and those done for me/about me and the card's true sense evades both my boyfriend and myself. Your opinion would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
The Devil card is a fascinating card to me. Like all others, it’s meaning changes based on the location in the spread or the surrounding cards.
The Devil card mirrors the Magician and the High Priestess, action and passivity together. Male and female. We also see the number 15 reduced to the number 6, linking to the Lovers, something we also see in the imagery. Except this time the Lovers are bound. The relation to the magician, other than the same shape, finds difference in that the wand is gone - the energy of the universe is not being drawn through the body in an active way to the Earth, but rather forced energy. Spiraled horns are also an indication of energy being released rather than focused.
Basically, the Devil often indicates that we’re obsessed with an idea, chasing it, not letting it go. Our energy is so focused on this particular idea that we can’t see past our own noses and it’s become unhealthy. Our energy is not focused in the right direction and it’s not coming from the right place. It’s false. Manufactured. It’s also an indicator that our emotional state is out of control.
The Devil was often a warning that someone was being drawn into an experience that was considered a sin. Think about that though. Sin seems to be that which is not morally accepted by society. The easiest example is adultery. You’ve entered into an agreement that you will be monogamous and then you cheat. You’ve become obsessed with someone other than that person you’ve promised yourself to, you’ve emotionally compromised everyone, you’ve directed your energy in a way that isn’t focused on an outcome that is the best path for you. Yet, you continue.
Depending on the layout and the location of the card as it turns up, this could be part of the reason you’re seeing it. Is there something you’re so entirely focused on that you can’t see other opportunity?
I always recommend people read books by Pollack and others that they think are trusted authors on the Tarot. I have older posted that mention others. This will give you the opportunity to form your own ideas about the card.
This was a bit of a challenge, I know how the Devil card makes me feel and I know the story it tells when I see it, but I’ve never thought about authoring that. I hope what I’ve written is somewhat clear - I need to start writing about this, maybe I can do more for others.
